Free summer grazing sign available to download

When suckler cows are kept on pasture in the summer, they are exposed to higher temperatures. This pasture sign allows you to inform passers-by about how this animal-friendly form of husbandry is organised and how the animals cope with the summer heat.

Interested parties can use a QR code to access a short audio file directly on site. In around 4 minutes, the most important questions regarding summer grazing are explained in a concise and understandable way – for example, how cattle adapt to the heat, what protective measures are in place and what particular attention is paid to.

Another QR code links to the Netzwerk Fokus Tierwohl website, which provides further information on the management of suckler cows.

Recommendations

  • Lamination is recommended to ensure the sign lasts longer.
  • If you would like a particularly durable sign, you can have one made at a print shop using suitable, weatherproof material for a fee.
