Working with four expert groups drawn from across the country and specialising in livestock farming, the Federal Information Centre for Agriculture (BZL) has developed proposed solutions for sustainable farming systems for fattening pigs, sows and piglets, young hens and dairy cows. The result is four comprehensive brochures setting out integrated farm management concepts (GHK) that take into account the three pillars of sustainability – societal expectations, environmental impact and economic viability.
