EIP-Agri – Introducing pig projects
European Innovation Partnership on Agricultural Productivity and Sustainability
Together with the German Rural Areas Network (DVS), the Fokus Tierwohl network organised a networking meeting with EIP-Agri pig projects.
The aim of the European funding programme EIP-Agri is to promote the further development of innovative approaches in agriculture. Current issues in agriculture are addressed jointly by farmers, advisors, associations, companies and the scientific community. EIP helps to improve networking between agriculture and research. The results and solutions developed within the framework of these innovation projects are intended to contribute in the long term to a more animal-friendly, sustainable and competitive agricultural sector.
During an online meeting with the Focus on Animal Welfare network, eight EIP projects took the opportunity to network. The topics of the innovation projects ranged from the abandonment of tail docking to water quality and the purification of barn air, as well as various approaches to digitalisation in pig barns.
