The Pig Welfare Competence Centre, part of the Fokus Tierwohl network, took part in EuroTier digital 2021 with three panel discussions. These were moderated by Dr Thorsten Klauke (Secretariat of the Pig Welfare Competence Centre, North Rhine-Westphalia Chamber of Agriculture).

Any discussion on the topic of ‘improved animal welfare’ inevitably raises the question: ‘Who is going to pay for this?’. Various stakeholders across the value chain explored this question in depth. Not only producers, but also a representative from the Consumer Advice Centre had their say.
